Orthodox icon of the Most Holy and Ever Virgin Theotokos "Immaculate" (3).
The icon was painted in Crete around 1540, now is in Byzantine Museum of Athens. Theotokos is painted here holding Christ in Her arms and having two Angelson each side. The Angel on the left is holding the Cross, in which Her Son will be crucified and the other Angel on the right is holding the Sponge and the Spear. The Baby Christ looks the Cross that symbolize His Crucifixion.
