"Ἡ Παρθένος σήμερον, τὸν προαιώνιον Λόγον, 
ἐν Σπηλαίῳ ἔρχεται, ἀποτεκεῖν ἀποῤῥήτως. 
Χόρευε ἡ οἰκουμένη ἀκουτισθεῖσα, 
δόξασον μετὰ Ἀγγέλων καὶ τῶν Ποιμένων, 
βουληθέντα ἐποφθῆναι, 
παιδίον νέον, τὸν πρὸ αἰώνων Θεόν."
